Due to continued growth, Staley Automation have an opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer / Technician to join their successful team.

As a Control Systems Engineer / Technician at Staley Automation you’ll be responsible for working on both individual and team based projects with new and existing clients across a broad range of industries. Some travel is required from time to time to provide onsite client support including fault finding and commissioning.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, testing and commissioning PLC and SCADA systems including Rockwell, Schneider & Siemens software (in particular RSLogix 5000, Unity Pro, Step 7, TIA portal, Citect SCADA, Factory Talkview)
  • Development of functional specifications and test procedures
  • Managing projects to meet cost, timeline, quality and OH&S requirements
  • Responding to breakdown situations onsite
  • Producing written technical documentation for clients
  • Undertaking research and development programs

 

Ideally you will have a proven track record working directly with clients to deliver automation projects. To succeed at Staley Automation you’ll need to be collaborative, innovative and decisive and you will thrive in an environment where you have plenty of responsibility and autonomy. A commitment to providing quality service to all clients, a flexible approach and the ability to plan, set and achieve goals and objectives are all essential skills.

As an Engineer you’ll possess a degree or equivalent qualifications in an engineering field or as a Technician you’ll hold an “E” Class License or equivalent grading. Both roles require electrical systems knowledge.
