Payroll and Accounts Coordinator (Reference # 320)

As the Payroll and Accounts Coordinator at Carer Solutions Australia you’ll be responsible for managing the end to end payroll function as well as all aspects of the invoicing activities.

Your day to day tasks will include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the payroll
  • Interpreting awards and relevant legislation, reviewing employment contracts and organisational policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Preparing payroll and financial reports for management
  • Overseeing the preparation, processing and reconciling of associated payroll payments
  • Coordinating the workflow of payroll team members
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Identifying opportunities for streamlining the payroll function and continuous improvement initiatives

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • A tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or a related discipline or posses extensive in a similar type position
  • Previous experience in leading complex payroll management and production
  • A proven background in the application and interpretation of awards, acts, legislation and compliance requirements in a payroll environment
  • Strong computer skills in particular with spreadsheets, word processing and payroll software
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to be able to meet strict deadlines
  • A meticulous attention to detail and eye for accuracy
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives

Payroll Officer (Reference # 319)

Performing the payroll function while ensuring accuracy and efficiency is the primary responsibility of this role. You’ll regular interact with both internal and external customers and will need to be committed to providing a quality customer service experience.

Your day to day tasks will include:

  • Accurately processing timesheets, Support Worker Registration Guides and Partner Agreements
  • Processing the fortnightly payroll, including payment summaries
  • Responding to payroll queries and resolving issues
  • Assisting with the interpretation of awards, legislation and associated compliance documentation
  • Processing the invoicing in an accurate and timely manner
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement and streamlining of systems and processes of the payroll function

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar high volume, complex payroll environment
  • Knowledge and experience in interpreting awards, legislation and compliance requirements
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and payroll and accounting software
  • Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to build relationships
  • Well-developed communication skills to be able to explain complex payroll information to a range of audiences
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to be able to juggle work priorities and meet deadlines
