Celebrate Being Awesome

Ange Connor

Ange and I were lucky to be invited to attend a breakfast for international Women’s Day. There was inspiration plus at this event with speakers from all walks of life celebrating their strengths, diversity and passion for what they do. It got me thinking, how often do we celebrate how awesome we are?

We get so bogged down in the nitty gritty of life and just do what needs to be done without recognising what we have done. Why do we let ourselves get so involved in the task of life, rather than the joy of life?

Ange and I were on a high from breakfast that we took ourselves out to celebrate the little milestones we have achieved over the past 5 months since we opened our doors. When we sat down to chat about our successes it quickly turned in to a heart felt session on how we are both feeling in the business.

I literally sat across from Ange half way through our chat, thinking how lucky I am to have a business with this amazing woman. I love that in this day and age there has never been a greater time for women to rock the world and become a dominant force in business and in life.

So, my question to you is do you give yourself time to sit back and look at what you have achieved and celebrate you? Take 5 minutes now to think about what you have been able to achieve this week, last month or over the years. Now, celebrate do it, celebrate you. Even better celebrate the amazing women in your life.

Be awesome, go for your dreams and show your family, friends and children that the sky has no limit – everything is possible.

I give you permission to go and be fabulously awesome ladies.
