This would have to be the number one question I get asked as a recruiter. No, money isn’t always everything however whether we are considering applying for a new job or want to prepare for our next performance appraisal and salary review, what we get paid is an important part of the equation.
Talking money, especially at interview has always been taboo. People are secretive about what they really earn and more often than not people exaggerate what they earn.
