About the role
With the continued growth of Goldacres, comes an opportunity for a Mechanical Draftsperson to join their experienced Engineering team. This exciting opportunity will allow for your continued professional development and you will be able to draw on the knowledge and expertise of their experienced team.
In this role you will be responsible for the development of technical designs and drawings using SolidWorks and CAD software, the product planning of new products, mechanical parts, jigs, tools, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment. You will be continually exploring new techniques and methods for mechanical design, processes, fabrication, materials, and finishes. You will inspect designs and finished products to ensure compliance with job specifications making sure that standards and systems are maintained and remain compliant. You will assist in the training and guiding of the production team providing them with an understanding of mechanical assemblies and troubleshooting.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven background in a similar mechanical draftsperson role, and experience with SolidWorks and CAD software is highly desirable. You will have knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly procedures, and an intermediate to advanced level of computer skills. You will have well-developed organisational, planning and scheduling skills, a strong attention to detail, be mechanically minded and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be able to work independently while positively contributing to the team.

This role will commence in 2024.
