About the Opportunity

Haymes Paint has, and continues to, experience extraordinary and unprecedented strategic and emergent growth. In its centric position supporting the business growth the role of Manufacturing Manager needs to embrace Haymes’ manufacturing environment as it is today, and in light of the current and forecast sales growth, collaboratively envision, develop, integrate and implement manufacturing processes and equipment to support the overarching Corporate strategy.  

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Manager has full responsibility for leading and managing the manufacturing team to maximise manufacturing operational efficiency. As the Manufacturing Manager you will champion the people and a safety focus and role model a positive and participative team culture whilst ensuring the achievement of manufacturing KPI’s

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • People Leadership and Engagement; workforce planning and performance, training and development, proactive team communications, WHS and wellbeing, developing and mentoring Manufacturing Supervisors.
  • Strategy Execution; Business planning, strategy planning and execution, contribute to the overall Haymes strategy, contribute to cross functional forums.
  • Manufacturing Operational Efficiency; product is delivered on time in full and right the first time, budget achievement, maintenance planning, continuous improvement and process review, mapping and development.
  • Automation Implementation; automation planning and implementation, lead change management and innovation initiatives, team engagement and involvement
  • Relationship management; internally and externally foster strong, collaborative and productive relationships, understand what Haymes customers want and contribute to better servicing customer needs.

About You

Haymes is looking for an engaging people leader who possesses a proven background in manufacturing site management, preferably from a FMCG, chemicals or similar industrial environment. You will be able to demonstrate experience in contributing to and executing a vision and strategy, including effectively leading and engaging a broader team to embrace change while delivering to the strategy and achieving the vision. 

Your experience in managing the effective design, process development and implementation of automation within a manufacturing environment or delivering a similar significant change program will be highly regarded. You will also have an understanding of and appreciation for family owned business.

As a self-motivated and relationship focused leader, you will be able to demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence and self-reflection and will be comfortable ensuring the delivery of a range of projects to deadlines and will honour your commitments. Building proactive, productive and trusting relationships both internally and externally will come naturally to you.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on your skills and experience. This is a full-time position, based in Ballarat.
