We’re a Ballarat-based recruitment and HR agency, working with some of the region’s most respected and recognisable businesses. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our team and take ownership of an existing portfolio of clients.

This is a warm desk.

You won’t be starting from scratch or spending your days cold calling for business.

You’ll step into an established portfolio of clients who already trust Inspire HQ with their recruitment needs. Your role will be to nurture those relationships, understand their businesses, and become the person they turn to whenever they need great people.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for your clients, delivering an exceptional experience for both hiring managers and candidates.

That means:

• Managing an established portfolio of valued clients and becoming a trusted recruitment partner.
• Working across a diverse range of professional and specialist recruitment assignments.
• Taking briefs, understanding the real need behind the role and developing a clear recruitment strategy.
• Sourcing, assessing and engaging high-calibre candidates.
• Managing the recruitment process from initial brief through to placement and beyond.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with both clients and candidates.
• Providing market insight, recruitment advice and a genuinely consultative service.
• Representing Inspire HQ and our clients’ brands exceptionally well throughout every interaction.
• Identifying opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and grow your portfolio organically.

What we’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll be an experienced recruiter who knows what great recruitment looks like.

You’ll bring commercial nous, strong communication skills and the confidence to manage senior client relationships. You’ll be comfortable running a desk independently, but equally enjoy being part of a collaborative team.

Most importantly, you’ll care about doing things properly.

You’ll be someone who:

• Has solid experience in agency recruitment, ideally within professional or specialist recruitment.
• Knows how to build genuine, trusted client relationships.
• Is confident managing vacancies from brief to placement.
• Has strong candidate engagement and assessment skills.
• Is commercially minded without being overly transactional.
• Takes pride in delivering an exceptional experience.
• Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Understands the importance of representing a client’s employer brand.
• Wants to build something meaningful in the Ballarat market.
