Due to continued growth, an opportunity exists for a Project Manager to take ownership of Macneil Group’s commercial builds, from enquiry through to handover. This isn’t a role where you manage from a distance. You’ll be in the room from initial concept, staying close through design and into construction, building the kind of trust with clients that keeps them coming back. You’ll work closely with on-site teams, subcontractors and clients, playing a key role in keeping projects on time, on budget and to the standard Macneil Group is known for.

A typical day in this role will see you:

• Build strong relationships with project stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers to understand requirements, negotiate outcomes and drive successful project delivery.
• Lead the estimating, development of budgets, contracts, procurement and project documentation.
• Work closely with site teams to coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the Macneil Group standard.
• Take ownership of project scope, budgets and commercial performance, managing variations, progress claims, invoices and cost control.
• Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders, managing RFIs, site instructions, meetings, progress reporting and other project requirements.
• Regularly visit sites to monitor progress, quality, safety and design issues, ensuring compliance with contracts, building codes, regulations and Macneil Group systems.
• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of complex projects, identifying issues early, driving solutions and achieving the required quality, schedule and budget outcomes.

About You

Success as About You a Project Manager at Macneil Group requires:

• A proven background in Construction, Contract Administration or Project Management, preferably in the commercial sector; you might be looking to project manage more prestigious projects, or you might be looking to take the next step in your career, taking on more responsibility and having more autonomy.
• Solid Construction / Building legislation knowledge, construction health and safety systems expertise coupled with experience in budgeting, financial management and cost control.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships, along with exception negotiation and interpersonal skills
• An ability to meet deadlines; you are organised, delegate effectively and work well under pressure to deliver when you say you will
• A genuine commitment to delivering high quality outputs in a professional manner
